Faith Community Reformed Church is a community of people striving to more faithfully follow Jesus. Our building is located next to Haley Park, on 40th St. at Oak Park Ave. in Stickney, Illinois. To this place we gather – on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings – and from this place we are sent to be the very presence of Jesus Christ in our world, sent to live as agents of God’s peace and reconciliation.
We are a congregation of the Reformed Church in America, an evangelical and ecumenical denomination with a long and storied history in world mission that traces her North American origins to 1628 New York (then New Amsterdam). Our local history in Stickney dates to 1925, when we began as a Sunday School with the hope of serving the children of this community.
Rooted in that deep history and committed to the Scriptures and to serving the greater Stickney community, we seek to be a place of belonging, discipleship, and service. We come from a wide variety of backgrounds, have a diversity of socio-economic standings and theological and political viewpoints, and are working on more fully reflecting the racial/ethnic diversity of our community.
